Large clawed two-shaped tooth

Dimorphodon macronyx was an early jurassic pterosaur from Britain (190-195 million years old). It was a quite basal pterosaur, and it was very odd for such a basal pterosaur.

D.macronyx had very short wings and a ridiculously large head, and it was likely a poor flyer. It was however, very well adapted for running and climbing. While they had very short wings, Dimorphodon had a very well developped sternum, indicating very strong arm muscles.
This means it likely flew in rather short, very energetic bursts with a fast flapping flight.
In the past, people suggested several ecological roles for Dimorphodon, including it being a soaring piscivore, however, Dimorphodon was extremely ill adapted for soaring or any other long range flight.
Instead, it likely ran about on the forest floor hunting small animals, such as large insects, synapsids, lizards, etc.
